The international experts visiting Azerbaijan within the framework of the two-year Twinning Project "Strengthening hydrometeorological and climate services in Azerbaijan" funded by the European Union, also visited the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Within the framework of the visit, the experts trained the specialists of the Nakhchivan Hydrometeorological Department of the National Hydrometeorological Service on conducting hydrometeorological observations using modern methods, calibrating and maintaining automatic hydrometeorological stations installed in the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as, application and use of numerical forecast models.

The experts visited the Nakhchivan automatic meteorological station and carried out calibration work at the station jointly with the experts of the Department.

The second part of the productive training continued in the format of a discussion and numerous questions of the participants were answered.

At the end of the meeting of mutual interest, certificates were presented to the specialists of the Nakhchivan Hydrometeorological Department.
